Our mission is to implement a comprehensive and integrated emergency management system that coordinates the resources of our whole community to protect lives, property and the environment through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from natural and man-made hazards that may impact the citizens of both the city and county of Grand Forks.

The Grand Forks Emergency Management Office is responsible for the coordination of the City and the County's response to emergency situations and disasters.

Together Grand Forks city and county have developed the Local Emergency Operations Plan, or the LEOP. This plan sets up how the city and county of Grand Forks prepares for and responds to local emergencies.
