COVID in Corrections

The Grand Forks County Correctional Center continues to monitor COVID-19 within the facility, our community, and the state, adjusting protocols as necessary.

  • On-Site Video Visitation is available with expanded hours to reduce the number of individuals in the lobby at any given time, but still requires advanced registration and approval.  To reduce congestion, it is recommended you try avoid the busier evening visitation hours if you are able.
  • Off-Site Video Visitation is available through the vendor "HomeWav"
    • Video visitation can be accommodated via both iPhone and Android phones as well as windows laptops or PC's.  This service currently does not support mac's.
    • Pre Register at: HomeWav.com
    • All visits are scheduled, so you will need to select a time period you wish to visit.  It is best to communicate with the inmate you wish to visit of your selected time so they are aware of the pending visit as they will need to accept the visit as well
  • All on-site programming and volunteer services are slowly being reestablished within the facility
  • All new admissions to the GFCCC are screened for COVID-19 symptoms at booking.  Symptomatic individuals will be isolated until such time a COVID-19 negative test result can be acquired
  • We are no longer mandating mask wearing.  Mask wearing is by choice unless interacting with a symptomatic individual, which then require mask protocols are continued
  • COVID-19 vaccinations continue to be available as provided by GF Public Health
